February 6th, 2019
We are planning a ”Student-Faculty Encounter”” to be held on February 14th and 15th, 2019.
Its the name we have given to a faculty development (FD) event to get feedback from students and improve the G30 program.
The event has been held twice before, with good results.
There will be sessions on curriculum, lab life, student support, and career paths.
New topics will be the NU-EMI project and harassment.
We call it an “encounter” because in some of the sessions,
the students and faculty will be segregated into separate rooms and will exchange opinions among themselves before
we meet together for an “encounter”.
This is to encourage more vocalization and better formulation of thoughts.
Additionally, there will be a mixer in the evening and
Japanese students in the NUEMI project are welcome to come to sessions 3,4 and the mixer on the 14th.
If you are interested in participating please register through the link in the flyer above.
It will only take you 2-3 minutes.
Below is the tentative program.
You do not need to register to attend but it would make it easier for us if you do well in advance!
