Multiple zeta values form a fascinating family of numbers with many interesting properties. They can be studied from various perspectives and also appear in fields beyond mathematics, such as particle physics, making them intriguing even for non-mathematics students. Research on these numbers is quite popular in Japan, and in my opinion, the topic is fairly accessible, even without a strong background in number theory. If you are curious about numbers and fascinated by constants like π, you might find this course interesting. The English used in this course is simple, and I will accept homework submissions in Japanese.
