Information Session on Short-Term Study Abroad Programs in Singapore
The Global Multi-Campus Institute will offer three short-term study abroad programs in Singapore between February and March 2027.
A joint information session covering all three programs will be held as detailed below. The session will provide information on the program content, schedules, costs, scholarships, and application procedures.
Information Session Details
Date and time: Wednesday, October 28, 2026, 2:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Venue: Room C15, Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Programs covered: All three short-term programs in Singapore
Attendance at the information session is mandatory for students wishing to participate in any of the programs.

Programs
 
Program 1: New Program
Urban Agriculture and Food Security in Singapore
Participants will learn about urban agriculture, food imports, and circular agriculture through on-site activities in Singapore, while exploring sustainable food systems.
Program dates: February 28 to March 9, 2027, 10 days
Estimated cost: Approximately JPY 290,000
Academic credit: Available
Recommended for students who:
  • Are interested in urban agriculture or food-related topics. Students from all schools and disciplines, including those in the humanities and social sciences, are welcome to apply.
  • Would like to deepen their understanding of a specific topic through field research.
Program 2
Mei-Writing Spring Camp in Singapore
Participants will engage in cultural exploration and creative activities with NUS students. They will also take on the challenge of writing and performing an original play.
Program dates: March 11 to March 21, 2027, 11 days
Estimated cost: Approximately JPY 290,000
Academic credit: Available, depending on the participant’s year of study
Recommended for students who:
  • Are interested in collaborative learning and interacting with local students.
  • Would like to improve their ability to communicate and express themselves in English.
Program 3
Connecting the World: Skills to Thrive Globally
Through interactions with NUS students and companies, participants will develop the skills needed to succeed globally by learning about AI, entrepreneurship, and career development.
Program dates: March 14 to March 30, 2027, 16 days
Estimated cost: Approximately JPY 350,000
Academic credit: Not available
Recommended for students who:
  • Are interested in building a global career, including entrepreneurship or working overseas.
  • Would like to network with people from diverse backgrounds in Singapore.
Scholarships and Financial Support
  • Available for all three programs: JASSO scholarship of JPY 110,000, subject to selection criteria.
  • Available to undergraduate students: Nagoya University financial support of JPY 70,000 may be available. This applies only to Program 2: Mei-Writing Spring Camp in Singapore.
