医学部 1年/ Studium Generale II Maria Vassileva
consisted of listening to lectures on various topics and discussing them. I
had a report assignment for each lecture and a group presentation on one
of the lectures at the end. The report assignment was a little tough, but it
was good practice for writing in English, and I was happy to see my skills
improving as my score gradually increased.
The professor is very kind and support is provided by TAs, so I would
recommend this class to those who are taking English classes for the first
time!
The atmosphere of the class is very different from Japanese one. For
instance, people discuss topics very lively and present their opinion clearly.
Also, even in group presentations, some groups didn’t simply use slides to
make their presentations, but also made movies and other innovations.
Taking a G30 class is always good experience, whether you are considering
studying abroad or not.I believe that you will not only improve your
English skills, but also make a lot of friends. By taking classes through NU-
EMI, you can receive support from tutors. I encourage you to take
advantage of this service.
