Enjoy a Summer Festival in Yukata at Nagoya Castle!
Put on a yukata and enjoy the summer atmosphere in the elegant Kujaku-no-Ma (Peacock Room) of the Honmaru Palace at Nagoya Castle!
l Date: Saturday, August 9
l Time: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM (Last entry at 4:00 PM)
l Location: Kujaku-no-Ma, Honmaru Palace, Nagoya Castle
l Professional Yukata Dressing Available! Get assistance from certified kimono dressers and members of the Nagoya City Women’s Association.
l Fees:
Ø Bring your own yukata: ¥1,500
Ø Yukata rental: ¥2,500
Ø (Nagoya Castle admission fee required separately)
l Capacity: 30 people (Open to all genders, first-come, first-served)
l Registration: Advance registration required
Yukata rentals are limited—please mention your rental request when applying.
l What to Bring (for all participants, if available):
If you have any of the following items, please bring them with you. They are helpful for dressing and will make the experience smoother.
- Undergarment (hadajuban)
l If you don’t have one, please wear a tank top or light inner shirt and spats/leggings.
l If you don’t have leggings, please wear white pants or similar.
- Koshi-himo (waist ties) – 2 or 3
- Obi-ita (obi stiffener)
- Geta (Japanese sandals) – or regular sandals
- Datemaki belt, eri-shin (collar stay), and kistuke belt (Korin belt) – bring if you have any
- A bag for your clothes after changing

We kindly ask that you register by phone, as this is the primary method. Email registration is also accepted.

Once you send your email, the staff will reply to confirm your reservation. If you need to cancel, please make sure to notify the organizers in advance.
